James Metsoja, Seurat Vision

Seurat Vision, is simultaneously limited edition artists book, visual aid and viewing device. Its pages illustrate paintings by James Metsoja, which in turn point out some areas of interest that relate to Seurat's visit to Great Yarmouth in 1882 - “a very influential year for him”. 

This work was produced as an edition of 40, by the artist to accompany 1 WOW OF A TIME ! – The Great Yarmouth Day Trip, that took place on Saturday 25 June 2015

 


James Metsoja United Kingdom (b. 1984 in Salisbury) is an artist based in Norwich. Metsoja graduated from Ma Painting, Royal College of Art 2015. Solo shows include Being in a Swamp, University of Hertfordshire Galleries, Museum of St. Albans (2013) and It’s Only Still Life, Outpost Gallery, Norwich(2012). Recent group exhibitions include Life Was Meant To Be Awesome, Charlton Gallery, London (2016) and Outpost Members' Show, selected by Lynda Morris and Chris Rawcliffe, Outpost Gallery, Norwich (2016). He was Jun 2015 - Shortlisted artist for The Chadwell Award for painting (2015) and Runner-up for the Marmite Prize for Painting IV (2012).
